Holidays right 'Down South'
From the rugged coastline at St Abbs with its nature reserve to the award winning beaches at Coldingham, the bustling harbour at Eyemouth, the historic houses, castles and towers from the time of the conflicts with England and the Border Reivers, right through to the stunning walks across the Lammermuir Hills - there truly is something for everyone!
Berwickshire is known for the bloody history of the numerous battles that were fought between the English and Scottish and the Border Reivers (outlaws).
Berwickshire is a walkers mecca with plenty of walking routes in the Lammermuir Hills, the Duns town trail and the 28 mile Berwickshire Coastal Path from Cockburnspath to Berwick-upon-Tweed. The path follows the rugged coastline of the county including the second highest set of cliffs on the east coast of Britain and the opportunity to join the Southern Upland Way (Scotland's coast to coast walk) and complete the 32 mile section from Lauder to Cockburnspath.

27-Apr-2024 | Aird Sleimhe GM6 (overall) | From the moment we arrived at the cottage the views were breathtaking, and this stay was everything we hoped for and more. The cottage was perfect, clean, lovely, and warm with everything you need. The view of Carbost from the cottage is perfect. I could not say anything negative about this stay, only that it ended too soon, which just means we ll have to return. | ||

26-Apr-2024 | Inniemore Cabin BE6 (overall) | Door to cabin had been left wide open, so on our arrival it was freezing cold. In my opinion the door should have been closed to keep out the elements and retain any heat from previous occupancy. Wood burner could have been lit in advance of our arrival to heat the premises. |
